August's Pint will be at Lake Monster. Large patio. Big parking lot. Food (OG ZaZa Pizza). Beer. And, bonus, King Coil Spirits is next door. Like they share a common open area. Beer and whisky - you can run back and forth if you feel frisky.
We will be on the patio unless it rains, in which case we'll be inside. As a bonus bonus, the Mississippi Valley Orchestra is scheduled to play from 6-8:30. This will be their "crewtet" which means it's a smaller group and they play more pop / rock. Never heard them, but it seems likely to be better than one dude with a guitar in hands and cymbals on his knees who can't sing and has a shitty sound system.
Here's a review of the place. An official one, not just Gary saying it's cool, which it kinda is, but don't take my word for it.
Rated one of the best patio's in the cities... Pioneer press....
*LAKE MONSTER BREWING, 550 S. Vandalia St. No. 160, St. Paul, 612-964-6288: This sizable brewery off the Cretin-Vandalia exit on Interstate 94 seems to be always hopping, and the patio is no exception. Wood chairs and tables with umbrellas dot the expansive sidewalk patio in front of the brewery for patrons sipping a beer and dining from the featured food truck parked outside.
