About us
Welcome to The Project Community - Wellington (formerly known as the PRINCE2 User Group Meetup). This group was formed in 2009 to help support those adopting PRINCE2 in the Wellington Region. We are connected to The Project Community - Auckland (also formerly known as the PRINCE2 Auckland User Group) who had their first meeting on September 18, 2012. Both groups will continue to hold free sessions throughout the year and continue to support those interested in getting their PRINCE2 foundation or practitioner qualifications but we want to actively promote and support capabilities in those other areas of project management, programme management, portfolio management, project office management, benefits management, strategic realisation and change management. We'll also take an interest in digitisation, Agile development, Business intelligence and Artificial intelligence. If you can do a project with it, then we're interested in it.
Note, there is no formal constitution and membership is free. Costs of venues, food and liquid refreshments at our meetings are through the generosity of our sponsors.
What the group is:
• Forward thinking and positive
• A great place to network at a professional level
• Diverse - in terms of views and membership
• Focused on sharing and learning from each other
• Embracing relevant new technologies and new thinking
Further information on the group's history and objectives is on the "about the user group" page www.prince2.org.nz

What really happens around Election Day
Central Wellington, (to be decided), Wellington, NZHow Parliamentary Service prepares for every outcome
With an Election year approaching, join Sasha Greig for a practical, behind the scenes view of how Parliamentary Service plans for and manages one of the most complex periods in the parliamentary cycle.
This session will provide a clear overview of Election logistics from a Parliamentary Service perspective, including how teams prepare for all possible outcomes, from a one-party majority through to multi-party coalition scenarios.
Sasha will walk through what happens on and immediately after Election Day, including the onboarding of new Members and the transition process for returning Members. The session will also explore how processes are refined over time, particularly how changes are communicated to Members who have experienced previous Elections but are operating in a different environment today.
The discussion will touch on lessons learned from past Elections and how those insights are shaping preparation for this year. There will also be time for questions and discussion, either throughout the session or held to the end.
This is a valuable opportunity for anyone interested in public sector readiness, large scale transition planning, and how institutional experience is balanced with continuous improvement in a high-pressure context.Speaker: Sasha Greig, Manager - Parliamentary Visitor Experience Sasha Greig | LinkedIn
