About us
We're a group of friendly people from in and around Northampton who enjoy walking, socialising, and exploring the great outdoors. We welcome people of all ages and aim to provide a comprehensive walking programme and to be as inclusive as possible.
We usually offer half day walks on Wednesdays and Saturdays and more strenuous full day walks on Fridays and Sundays. There are also shorter walks on the first Tuesday of each month. To see our full programme visit www.northamptonra.org.uk
So, if you like walking and want to get a bit fitter, or would like to try out a new activity whilst meeting new friends along the way, you've found the right group!
We will welcome you on any walk; just choose one suitable for you. RSVP to one of our walks on Meetup then just turn up and introduce yourself to the walk leader. The published time is when we leave so please turn up at least 10 minutes before in order to get kitted up.
Non members are welcome to join up to three walks before becoming members of the Ramblers.

Abthorpe, Bucknell Wood & Wappenham

Walk Details
This is a gentle ramble across undulating countryside in south Northamptonshire. The majority of this walk is on well defined paths and bridleways across open fields and through woods. There are a couple of short sections of road walking along quiet country roads which see light local traffic most of the time. None of the uphill sections of this route are all that steep. you will need to climb over 14 stiles on this route
At the end of the walk you can join me in the New Inn in Abthorpe, which is close to the walk end.1 attendee
Circular Walk from Flore

Walk Details
This lovely circular walk winds its way through the pretty village of Flore. After this we follow field paths through open countryside with varied landscapes and ever-changing views to Lower Weedon and Weedon Bec. This is a fairly flat route with a couple of stretches by the Grand Union Canal.
There is a small amount of road walking on a quiet road.
Assistance dogs only please.
No stiles.
