About us
We're a group of friendly people from in and around Northampton who enjoy walking, socialising, and exploring the great outdoors. We welcome people of all ages and aim to provide a comprehensive walking programme and to be as inclusive as possible.
We usually offer half day walks on Wednesdays and Saturdays and more strenuous full day walks on Fridays and Sundays. There are also shorter walks on the first Tuesday of each month. To see our full programme visit www.northamptonra.org.uk
So, if you like walking and want to get a bit fitter, or would like to try out a new activity whilst meeting new friends along the way, you've found the right group!
We will welcome you on any walk; just choose one suitable for you. RSVP to one of our walks on Meetup then just turn up and introduce yourself to the walk leader. The published time is when we leave so please turn up at least 10 minutes before in order to get kitted up.
Non members are welcome to join up to three walks before becoming members of the Ramblers.

Morning Walk from Hanging Houghton
Hanging Houghton, Hanging Houghton, Northampton, UK, GBA 6.5 mile morning walk led by Adrian D.

Walk Details
The walk will start from the picturesque village of Hanging Houghton. From where we will head for Blueberry Grange before turning for Cottesbrooke. Upon reaching Cottesbrooke we will head for Brixworth and the Brampton Valley Way. We will return to Hanging Houghton along the Brampton Valley Way. The walk is mostly on hard tracks with a section along a quiet country lane with beautiful views of the rolling Northamptonshire countryside.1 attendee
Day Walk from Weston
The Crown Inn, 2 Helmdon Rd, Weston, Towcester NN12 8PX, UK, Weston, GBA 15 mile day walk led by Clive H.
This is a strenuous day walk only suitable for experienced walkers.

Walk Details
A circular walk through the undulating West Northants countryside visiting Sulgrave, Culworth, Woodford Halse and Moreton Pinkney. There will be a lunchtime pub stop in Woodford Halse where we can eat our own packed lunch if buying a drink. The pub doesn't serve food so bring all that you need for the day.
The pace will be around 3mph with 949 feet of ascent.
