Table Mountain is about 40 minutes northeast of Lake Oroville

Cool Features: Water Fall, Wildflowers, Geological Terrain and of course YOU!

Description: Table top mountain was formed from ancient lava flows. It is an elevated basalt mesa With wildflowers and rock outcrops and a special kind of Vernal pool. We are going to go cross country to Coal canyon. We will be on the rim looking down into the canyon. There is a 165 foot waterfall that flows over the edge and drops into the canyon. We will stop along the rim for lunch with a beautiful view of the waterfall. On a sunny day the waterfall will produce a rainbow guess what it's gonna be sunny in the upper 70s on April 12. We will walk the rim for a half mile or so looking down into the canyon from different angles.

Best time to visit: Open all year but Right Now is best for flowers and waterfalls.

Elevation Gain/Loss: 200 feet

Depart: 8:30am at Sacramento's Tower Cafe & Theater south side parking lot Land Park Drive & Burnett Way Turn west on Burnett Way. Its the 2nt Right into the Parking lot. I'll be in the vicinity of that entrance.

Hike Trailhead: 11:15am at the trailhead (see directions below)

Estimated Return to Meetup departure location: 5 to 6pm
Type of travel: Carpool from Tower Cafe, re-meet at trailhead.

Things to bring: Willingness to hike together as a group.

Plus: 2 liters of Water, Sunscreen, Bug Repellent, Appropriate footwear for safe travel on the surfaces of the hike.
Plus Special Equipment: Sunscreen, some areas will be wet after a month of on and off rain so maybe some waterproof footwear if you have or another pair of shoes for a changer after the hike.

I logged in as a guest and then follow their instructions carefully and selected North Table Mountain Ecological Reserve, paid with a credit card downloaded the PDF, then I printed it.

Don't like online purchasing, you can call them at (800) 565-1458. They will email you the pass, but you will still have to print the emailed PDF attachment from your computer.

Suggested carpool donation to your driver: $20 if you carpool
