Wandering Wednesdays is doing Training Hill plus a few extra miles depending on what the group wants to do. This hike could be anywhere from 7 to 8 or up to 12 miles if we chose to do so. I'm thinking more like 8 miles. We'll see what we feel like after the climb.
The climb up Training Hill is 1,000' in the first mile then we'll do some rolling hill hiking around Olmsted and work our way back down Wendell Robie back to the cars.

I know of at lease two regular WW hikers who have never done Training Hill so now is the time. I sure hope to see you both on this hike. I know you are capable. It's being posted for you, but no pressure, right!

If you are someone who hasn't done Training Hill and have never hiked with me, you are welcome to join us but please know your abilities as TH is a strenuous climb.

The weather forecast is upper 60's at 8:30 am and 81° at 1:00 pm up to 84° by 3:00 pm

We follow the "Leave no trace only footprints" policy.

Wandering Wednesdays may alter hikes each week but will default to the Lake Natoma Bluffs unless otherwise posted. If you are a regular be sure to confirm the hike location and time weekly. We welcome and encourage beginners but be prepared to walk 20-25 minute miles.
