Riverfront Walk – Downtown, Discovery Park & West Sacramento
Join us for a scenic 3.5-mile walk through some of Sacramento’s most beautiful riverfront areas. We’ll enjoy relatively flat terrain and great company!
Meeting Spot:
In front of the Sacramento Animal Shelter (2127 Front Street)
Free parking available
Route Highlights:
We'll start at Front and U Streets, walking north on Front Street up to the levee along the Sacramento River. From there, we’ll cross the Tower Bridge into West Sacramento and follow the Riverwalk to the I Street Bridge. We’ll cross back, take Jibboom Street to the American River Bike Trail, head into Discovery Park, walk out to the confluence of the American and Sacramento Rivers, and return along the riverfront.
Schedule:
🕕 Introductions begin at 6:00 PM
🚶‍♀️ We start walking around 6:05 PM
We usually have 8–12 walkers each week—newcomers are always welcome!
Important:
🌡️ The walk will be canceled if the forecasted high for the day is 95°F or above.

What’s Included: Your meal includes seven delightful items: a protein dish, a vegetable dish, a stir-fry dish, a surprise dish, Jasmine rice, an Asian drink, and fruit.

Each class lasts two hours and includes introductions, veggie prep, cooking, and enjoying dinner together. It’s a fantastic way to learn new recipes and make new friends!
