Bobelaine Audubon Sanctuary Hike & Lunch
Details
Let's explore the Hidden Gem of Nature — Bobelaine Audubon Sanctuary.
We will step into a peaceful world where nature thrives untouched. Join me for a beautiful 4.3 mile hike through the Bobelaine Audubon Sanctuary, a 430-acre wildlife haven nestled along the Feather River just north of Sacramento. This scenic trail winds through lush woodlands, open meadows, and serene riverbanks — the perfect escape from city life.
As we wander beneath towering oaks and cottonwoods, keep your eyes open for deer, river otters, and over 190 species of birds that call this sanctuary home. It’s a paradise for photographers, birdwatchers, and anyone who loves the calm rhythm of nature.
We’ll take it at an easy-to-moderate pace, giving everyone time to enjoy the sounds of rustling leaves, the gentle flow of the river, and the stunning fall scenery.
After our hike, we’ll head to Mas Fuego for a well-deserved lunch.
Since parking is limited we will meet at Mas Fuego to carpool about 15 minutes to the hiking location 38.93082, -121.59044.
We will be joined by another Meetup group.
