Cataract Falls
We meet at 11 & P at 6:50 and depart by 7:00 am. We will arrange carpools there or feel free to organize your own and share with me the details.
I like collaborating with hikers who can navigate while I organize. With that, Lincoln and I joined to do this fun hike.
Join us for a fun adventure to Cataract Falls on the slopes of Mount Tamalpais! We will begin at Rock Springs, at the T intersection of W Ridgecrest and Pantoll Road. The parking here is free. This is a scenic trailhead perched high above the Pacific with sweeping coastal views, shaded picnic tables, and a convenient bathroom facility to start the day with comfort.
This invigorating 8.07-mile hike features 1,641 feet of elevation gain, winding through lush forests, fern-lined creeks, and cascading waterfalls. It is the perfect blend of challenge and beauty and come enjoy fresh air, great company, and one of Marin’s most spectacular waterfall trails!
Carpool is strongly encouraged. The price of gas is going up. So please pay your driver the price of one gallon of gas per hour of driving + any parking and tolls. Bring cash please as not everyone uses electronic means.
Bring your lunch, plenty of water, layers, sunscreen, comfortable hiking shoes, poles (if you use them), and a positive and happy attitude. Also, having breakfast before we begin can make a difference with your energy.
I do track “no shows” and they show up on your profile. I reserve the right to remove you from the hikes so others who are more reliable will have a chance.
