SUMMARY
On this moderate loop hike in Anthony Chabot Regional Park, East Bay Hills, and San Francisco Bay Area; we will hike in a clockwise direction via Jalquin Trail, Goldenrod Trail, Ranch Trail, Grass Valley Trail, Brandon Trail, and Jackson Grade Trail
for about 6 miles with a cumulative elevation gain of about 800 feet through oak woodlands, evergreen woodlands, grassy meadows, eucalyptus forest, and possible occasional creek crossings.

MEETING TIMES AND PLACES
For carpooling, meet 8:00am at 11th and P Street parking lot in Downtown Sacramento.
Please pay carpool driver the current price of gas per gallon!

For those meeting directly at the trailhead, meet 10:00am at the Clyde Woolridge Staging Area in Anthony Chabot Regional Park, and address is 4998 Grass Valley Rd, Oakland, CA 94605.

HIKING INFORMATION AND ESSENTIALS
DIFFUCLTY: Moderate due to some hills.
DISTANCE: About 6 miles.
ELEVATION: About 800 feet in cumulative elevation gain.
ROUTE: Start at Woolridge Staging Area, then hike uphill on Jalquin Trail for about .8 or 8/10 of a mile, then keep to the left and hike up and down on Goldenrod Trail for about 2 and 1/5 miles, then turn right and hike downhill on Ranch Trail for about .4 or 4/10 of a mile, then turn right and hike on Grass Valley Trail for about 2 miles, then turn right and hike across a bridge on the Brandon Trail for about 150 feet, then turn left and hike uphill on Jackson Grade Trail for about .4 or 4/10 of a mile back to the starting point.
Dogs on a leash are welcome.

ESSENTIALS: Bring water, small lunch/snacks, sun protection (hat, sunglasses, etc), hiking shoes/boots, hiking poles if needed, first aid kit, insect repellent spray, warm jacket in case of cold morning temps, etc.
