The Stack. Chico Climbing Club and Social Meetup

What up?! Im Mike and I started this group to meet some other members of The Stack that want to do things like take a yoga class or climb don't have a belay buddy. I mainly Top Rope but I'm down to do some bouldering or learn to sport climb.
I Just moved to Chico and haven't climbed in the last 2 years so I'm very excited this gym opened.
You can always message me on Instagram @MikeNorm2. If the group grows I'm down to add some social events like go out to Lunch/Coffee, hit a Driving Range or Brewery etc or road trips to snowboard or try out other climbing gyms (Sacramento Pipeworks etc)

Please use the group without me to find climbing partners that fit your schedule.

This is a private group so please only share it with people you think will fit in well with everyone and you can personally vouch for.

If you are new to climbing and want to get belay certified you can either challenger the class and get tested if you know what you are doing or if you want to learn all about belaying The Stack offers a free certification class for members. I think it runs twice a day. Check the website for details and hit me up if you need to get certified. I still need to do it am always down to take a refresher class. It's a good way to get to know other new climbers. You don't need to be belay certified to climb so if you are not certified and want to try out climbing another member or myself would be happy to belay for you while you decide if you want to join. You will not be able to belay your partner until you become belay certified so I recommend doing it as soon as you.

I have final say in who I allow into this group so if you habitually cause problems, are unsafe as a climbing partner, habitually make others feel uncomfortable, are overly aggressive in any way, or just kinda suck in general as a person, I will remove you from the group. Ain't nobody got time for that
