To keep everyone comfortable in our group and to make it easy to recognize each other in an activity, members are required to have a current photo of themselves in their profile.
No membership fee. Each member assumes costs and risk of activity they choose to participate in. Activities will be varied and will appeal to a wide range of ages 21+. If there's an activity you'd like to bring someone younger than 21, please let me know.

Discover Activate Raleigh
We had so much fun the first time, let's do it again. Let's play like kids! Activate Raleigh is a bit difficult to explain since it is a new concept but I'll try my best:
After coming into a bright, expansive, and welcoming lobby, paying and signing the required waivers, you'll go into a dark area with a series of dark rooms. Each room allows up to 5 people at a time and each room has a different setup/type of activity you can do.
Here are some of the rooms and activities you'll find:
Hoops- There's a wall with multiple hoops and the team will work together to get in as many shots as possible
Laser- your opportunity to recreate "Ocean's Eleven" trying to avoid the touching the lasers (not recommended for people with knee or back problems)
Control- (one of my favorites) you'll have to press buttons in a sequence (like simon says) and run in place
Strike- you throw balls to a wall depending on the challenge (number sequence, trivia questions, etc)
Press- find among hundreds the same image that is requested
Scan- find the differences among a set of pictures
Grid - (one of my favorites)- tap with your feet the requested tiles of the assigned color, avoid the danger tiles (physically demanding, may require running)
Each room has a different game and you can choose which game you want to do. The time spent in each room depends if there are other groups waiting in line for the room. Scores are collective for the group unless you choose to play competitively.
There are resting areas and lockers available.
Accessibility notice: black out rooms, bright, flashing lights, loud noises, some activities may cause physical exertion. If you don't know if you will feel comfortable in this environment, you can ask a staff member to show you around inside before paying.
EVERY PARTICIPANT ASSUMES THE RISK AND COST OF PARTICIPATING.
Every participant will pay the business directly ($23+ tax) and has to sign their waiver.
You can also go directly to their website (https://playactivate.com/raleigh), click on the 3 lines on the top right corner, select "Prepare for your visit" and then select "Waiver"
As you register, keep track of the email, phone number, and member name so you can easily retrieve the waiver once you get there (and not have to redo it, lol).

Discovering Christianity: A Beginners Guide Series
TBD, Raleigh, NC, USAcross the years, I've encountered countless people who are starting their Christian faith journey who struggle with the same challenges: feeling that they must master the entire Bible, not knowing how to find a church, getting lost in the vocabulary, and lacking clarity on Christianity's basic principles.
I'm not a pastor, not an expert or perfect, I was raised Catholic and became a Christian in 2017 after my divorce. My goal with this series is to make Christianity easier to understand, find new friends, and build community.Even though this is a series, please join us at any time! The series is built to answer questions, share knowledge, and build community!
This week we will discuss:
- Catch up: how did the week go, questions, learnings
- Discussion of Core 52 or Bible App reading that caught your attention
- feedback from you on what you'd like to learn/discuss throughout the seriesTopics to be discussed throughout the course of 3 months:
- basics of Christianity
- purpose of church, how to find a church where you have community, feel comfortable, welcomed, valued
- importance of communitySeries may be shortened or extended based on interest, participation, and availability.
Session is intended for 18+. If you need to bring your kids, please reach out to me.

This is a open, safe, non preachy, non judgmental zone for people that want to learn about Christianity.Tools we will use during the series:
Bible App (I use Youversion because I have Android but please download whichever you like best)- Bible apps are helpful to easily find the verses you want to look at, customize font size, language and Bible version.
Core 52 - this is a great intro book, easy to read, and covers the fundamentals. We will sometimes use it to guide our discussions. You can purchase it at any retailer and may be able to check out a copy at a library. Greatly encourage you to read it.The approach is from a non-denominational perspective.
No need to memorize verses, I can't, my memory is awful.Looking forward to meeting you!
