Discovering Neurodiversity
Details
I'm passionate about advocating for people who are neurodivergent. I'm neurodivergent, my kids are neurodivergent, some of my family and friends are neurodivergent. But there are many people who just don't know what neurodiversity is or might get intimidated with the term.
I am not a licensed therapist, didn't study this field and not an expert. My goal with this session is to help people understand a bit better what is neurodiversity, some considerations/accommodations that can help, and building a supportive community.
This session is for:
-people who are neurodivergent
-people who have a loved one, friend, colleague, client who is neurodivergent
-people who want to get a simple overview of what neurodiversity is
Session will consist of:
Intros to get to know each other
Questions and answers
Simple overview of neurodiversity
Importance of consideration of learning/communicating/working styles
Considerations/accommodations that can be helpful
Importance of support/community
