Behind every barbershop there’s good conversation. At The Urban Hideout, we’re taking that idea a step further.
Welcome to The Underground — a weekly creative gathering space behind The Urban Hideout Barbershop where writers, actors, musicians, artists, and other creatives come together to talk about what they’re working on, exchange ideas, and connect with others in their industry.
Beginning in May, every Thursday evening the courtyard behind the shop becomes a meeting place for Denver’s creative community. Each week focuses on a different artistic discipline so people can connect with others who understand their craft.

### Weekly Rotation

1st Thursday – Writers Underground
Novelists, screenwriters, poets, journalists, and storytellers.
2nd Thursday – Actors Underground
Actors, performers, directors, and film or theater creatives.
3rd Thursday – Musicians Underground
Musicians, producers, songwriters, and performers.
4th Thursday – Artists Underground
Visual artists, designers, illustrators, tattoo artists, and makers.

These gatherings are intentionally informal — not lectures or workshops — but a place for real conversation and community. Bring what you're working on, talk about your ideas, find collaborators, and connect with other creatives building things of their own.
We’re also working to partner with local breweries, wineries, distilleries, and non-alcoholic beverage companies to host rotating tasting experiences during these evenings.
Whether you’re deep into a project, looking to collaborate, or simply want to be around other creative minds, The Underground is a place to connect.
