Summer Restaurant Week [RW] is back in DC!:

• Officially runs Aug 18 - 24 [some places will extend the deal beyond these dates]
• 3-course fixed-price dinner special for $40 / $55 / $65 price tiers [not including drinks, and our required 30% tax / tip]

→ For this RW event RPM Italian will be at the $55 tier, so the minimum cost for the deal is $75 [drinks, wine/beer, and any extras items are additional and still factors a 3% restaurant surcharge fee plus our 30% tax/tip]

Organizer JoeN is back in town, and is again leading a Restaurant Week dinner event! We're checking out modern Italian at RPM Italian (Gallery Place Chinatown)

FOOD: Modern Italian-American style, emphasizing fresh, house-made pasta, high-quality ingredients, and a mix of classic and contemporary dishes (housemade pastas, steaks and other dishes here tend to be elevated pricing outside of RW). Dishes and service here are typically very good quality.

RW Menu Details:

• Starters: Choose from Caprese, Tuna Carpaccio, Arugula & Fennel Salad, and Pizza Bianco.
• Entrees: Choose from Grigliata, Risotto, Chicken Saltimbocca and Tortelli
• Dessert: Finish with your choice of Toasted Sicilian Pistachio Gelato, Lemon Sorbet, and Strawberry Tart.

SPACE: Chic / Modern. The restaurant utilizes a sophisticated color scheme of blacks, whites, and grays. Lots of rich woods and leather. Lighting tends to go dimly lit as well.

CLOSEST METRO: Gallery Place Chinatown [Red, Yellow, Green]. Take 7th / 8th Street exit. It's a short 2 block walk.

For directions using the Metro, try using the Trip Planner at the WMATA website.

PARKING: $25 Valet parking (ouch). Multiple Parking Garages or ground level paid parking lots nearby though. Else, street parking within 4 blocks is not impossible but come early to hunt.

2. If you RSVP "YES" please make sure you can definitely make it. With 5,000+ members and limited seating, we cannot afford no-shows. It's unfair to the other members who would like to attend and also to the organizers who have to explain to the restaurant why the reserved # of guests didn't show (can damage our reputation and ability to do larger reservations in the future). No-Show / Late Cancel rules apply (repeat No-Show or Late Cancel can impact membership).
3. Join the WAIT-LIST if you don't get an initial spot! Use the Waitlist option. Also, check back regularly as attendees have been known to cancel up to Noon the day of the event. We may use emails during the week to confirm continued interest, so check!
4. Billing (add 30% tax/tip to your bill). Remember, include the required 30% for tip/tax in addition to the food/beverages you order as defined in our FAQs (http://diningout.meetup.com/149/messages/boards/view/viewthread?thread=1650845#2991513).
