DC Early Fall Dining – European Bistro at Steak Frites DC

Organizer JoeN is back leading another delicious outing. This time, we’re heading to Steak Frites DC.

FOOD: From the team that brought us Stable, DC’s only Swiss restaurant, Steak Frites DC offers a streamlined, European-inspired experience rooted in Swiss hospitality. Their well-executed prix-fixe menu ($39.95 per person) includes homemade bread & butter, a seasonal salad, steak (entrecôte) served medium-rare with the signature Café de Paris compound butter, and a side of frites. SPACE: Steak Frites DC is located in the former home of Stable, a Swiss-American restaurant that closed in early 2024. The same ownership team refreshed the space with a new concept, keeping the cozy H Street NE vibe while introducing a menu built around the classic café-de-Paris steak tradition.
