Magic awaits with the Malliway Bros!
Witches, wizards, sorcerers, warlocks, enchanters, and magic-makers of all kinds will find community and fun at the Witches' Conclave. We offer workshops and rituals focusing on various aspects of witchcraft with an emphasis on being operative and results-oriented. Practitioners of all skill levels are welcome to attend our meetings, whether you're a fresh witchling just starting off or have been working the weird ways of witchcraft for ages.
We provide inclusive rituals for the phases of the moon and open celebrations for the witch's sabbats. Our classes focus on a wide spectrum of traditional and operative magic, drawing inspiration from our time in the wilds of England's west country.
The Conclave often gathers at our witch shop, Malliway Bros, located at 1407 W Morse Avenue, in the bustling Roger's Park neighborhood of Chicago.
THE WITCHES' CONCLAVE CODE OF CONDUCT
No matter our paths, what spirits we work with, or what forces we conjure, at the Witches' Conclave let's gather in peace. We are here to learn and to spread our magic and in order to do this, there are a few guidelines to follow:
-No photography or recordings of others without their permission.
-Respect other's privacy if they do not wish to share personal information, social media, email, phone numbers, addresses, or spend time outside of the Conclave.
-Do not use the Conclave as a dating pool.
-Do not solicit other members for business or money during events.
-Do not come to or become intoxicated during any classes or rituals. Drinking alcohol is accepted during social events but if it gets out of control, you will be escorted from the event. Repeated offences will result in a ban.
-Any kind of discrimination against another is prohibited. Intentional discrimination will result in a ban.
-Physical or sexual harassment will result in a ban.

In this class, we'll discuss the different uses of bones in the craft, their magical virtues, what different bones do, and what bones from different animals do. So, if you want to fulfill your dreams of being a spectral figure rattling bones to fulfill your dark deeds as the ghosts of Halloween still hang in the air, then stop on by and figure out how!

First, we'll discuss the moon's position this month, how it affects our magic, and the virtues and mythology of Taurus. We will then draw its influence down into the circle to cast a spell of comfort and stability.

See you there!It's that time of the year folks! Join us for a haunted morning of spirit conjuring at the graveside. For this workshop, we will venture to Graceland cemetery where we will discuss our spirit traditions of the season before working a group ritual to call to the spirits of the cemetery. Afterwards, each person will be shown how to commune with otherworld on their own. Afterwards, we will discuss our experiences together.
Rain or Shine - so dress appropriately! We highly suggest brining a notebook and pen to take notes during your session.
We will be waiting by the visitor center near the front gate until 10:15 so be on time to make sure you can catch up with us because once we head out, we'll be scattered among the graves and a lot harder to find!

Malliway's Academy: Folk Magic Course I
Malliway Bros. Spells, Charms, & Potions, 1407 W Morse Ave, Chicago, IL, USTickets for this class can be purchased on eventbrite or in the shop. There will only be a certain amount of tickets available so that the each class has more room for personal attention. Because these classes are a four-part course, it is best to attend each one or you will not be able to work through all of the class activities.
Full class course tickets can be purchased HERE for $120.
Introducing our new multi-part series of magical study the Chicago Folk Magic Course. Unlike our other classes, in these lessons we will work through a curriculum to advance with the art of folk magic from class to class. This will include homework, in-class experimentation, taking on magical disciplines, and personal attention in smaller groups.
Our first class will involve an introduction to Folk Magic, why it is such a powerful practice, historical examples, how it evolves from place to place, and the importance of locality. In this class we will practice an array of disciplines based on sources of power available to our local land and culture. Each member will then choose a discipline as their area of focus for the course.
