Chat & Charm - Harmful Psychology

Stop by the shop for another casual gathering of witchery! Chat and Charms are free events for witches to get together and talk about all things magical.

Magic is wonderful and full of possibilities. But because of that, people can be easily fooled in how magic works or use it as a crutch instead of learning ways to deal with their issues. This discussion will be centered around the idea of how magic can be misunderstood or misused to do more harm than good. How does using magic as therapy cause problems? What are the dangers of confirmation bias? Can the placebo effect really be considered magic?

We will be having a hat-draw discussion around everything so think of some questions that you'll want to bring up. Then we'll write them down and draw them at random.

Tea will also be served, but if anyone has any other snacks or drinks they want to bring, then feel free!
