A Walk on Embodied Thinking
Details
For our first gathering, we'll move around a topic. The topic we'll explore is EMBODIED THINKING — the idea that we don't just think with our heads, we think with our whole bodies, and that something different happens when we let movement be part of how we work things out.
It felt like the most fitting place to start. It's the ethos this group exists around.
Here's what to expect:
- We'll open with a welcome and intro to the topic, then head out for a walk together.
- The walk will be broken into a few stretches, each with a question to sit with.
- You'll be paired up to talk it through as we walk, and we'll mix the pairs each round so you get to meet a few people.
- In between, we'll come together for a quick stretch and group reflection before we get back on the trail.
There is no prep. While we may explore various movement activities and formats in the future, it will always be open to all fitness levels. (And if you want to challenge yourself, feel free to bring or wear a weighted vest or backpack to make it more of a ruck.)
But otherwise just bring yourself, your walking shoes, and a willingness to think out loud with new connections.
