Next up, we'll move around the topic of ATTENTION — what it truly is, and what it means to give it well.

We tend to think of attention as something we manage, spend, or protect. But older traditions have understood it as something much more consequential — the thing that represents love, care, and knowing. What we give our attention to is what we come to know and value. And in an age when so much is designed to capture, hijack, or manufacture our attention, the question of how to give it well feels especially urgent.

That's what we'll walk into — not attention as a productivity problem, but attention as one of the deeper things we do as human beings, and something worth being intentional about.

Here's what to expect:

  • We'll open with a welcome, a quick intro to the topic, and a few notes on how we do this together.
  • The walk will be broken into a few stretches, each with a question to sit with.
  • You'll be paired up to talk it through as we walk, and we'll mix the pairs each round so you get to meet a few people.
  • We'll close with smaller group reflections to share what came up across the conversations.

There is no prep. While we may explore various movement activities and formats in the future, it will always be open to all fitness levels. (And if you want to challenge yourself, feel free to bring or wear a weighted vest or backpack to make it more of a ruck.)

Otherwise just bring yourself, your walking shoes, and a willingness to think out loud with new people.

Looking forward to gathering again. Whether you've walked with us before or this is your first time with the group, glad to have you walking with us.
