Next up, we'll move around the topic of HOLDING TENSION — the practice of living inside the pulls, opposites, and unresolved parts of life.

Much of life isn't as either/or as we sometimes make it out to be. Rest and work. Freedom and commitment. Being and doing. Self and others. These aren't problems to be solved — they're tensions to be held, and often the surprise is that we find one side through the other.

But our culture doesn't often make room for that. There's constant pressure to decide, resolve, land somewhere firm. And a lot of what we lose in that hurry is worth looking at together.

Here's what to expect:

  • We'll open with a welcome, a quick intro to the topic, and a few notes on how we do this together.
  • The walk will be broken into a few stretches, each with a question to sit with.
  • You'll be paired up to talk it through as we walk, and we'll mix the pairs each round so you get to meet a few people.
  • We'll close with smaller group reflections to share what came up across the conversations.

There is no prep. While we may explore various movement activities and formats in the future, it will always be open to all fitness levels. (And if you want to challenge yourself, feel free to bring or wear a weighted vest or backpack to make it more of a ruck.)

Otherwise just bring yourself, your walking shoes, and a willingness to think out loud with new people.

Looking forward to gathering again. Whether you've walked with us before or this is your first time with the group, glad to have you walking with us.
