Next up, we'll move around the topic of CRAFT — not just as what artists do, but as something each of us is shaping, whether we've named it or not.

Craft is the patient work of getting better at something that matters to you. It might be what you do for a living. It might be something you do on the side. It might be how you cook, how you parent, how you lead, how you make things, how you move through a conversation. The things we tend to, patiently, over years.

And it asks something of us. Craft requires solitude — the private hours of practice, revision, and failure before anything is worth sharing. It also calls for service — the giving of what we've honed to others, and the humility that takes. In a culture that rewards speed, scale, and visibility, the slow and often invisible work of craft is worth sitting with.

Here's what to expect:

  • We'll open with a welcome, a quick intro to the topic, and a few notes on how we do this together.
  • The walk will be broken into a few stretches, each with a question to sit with.
  • You'll be paired up to talk it through as we walk, and we'll mix the pairs each round so you get to meet a few people.
  • We'll close with smaller group reflections to share what came up across the conversations.

There is no prep. While we may explore various movement activities and formats in the future, it will always be open to all fitness levels. (And if you want to challenge yourself, feel free to bring or wear a weighted vest or backpack to make it more of a ruck.)

Otherwise just bring yourself, your walking shoes, and a willingness to think out loud with new people.

Looking forward to gathering again. Whether you've walked with us before or this is your first time with the group, glad to have you walking with us.
