A decade of great ideas, friendly discussions, and amazing drinks!
Ten years ago, Thinking While Drinking started with a simple idea: bring curious folks together to explore big topics over a drink. A decade later, we're still doing just that, and it's time to celebrate this milestone together.
Join us in the beautiful outdoor venue Panama 66 in Balboa Park for an afternoon of relaxed conversation, favorite memories, and local craft drinks (beer, wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic). Whether you’ve been coming since 2016, or just joined us recently, we’d love to have you be a part of the celebration!
This event is a little different than our typical events. There is no video to watch. You'll still be able to grab your favorite beverage, join the vibrant and friendly community, and this time we'll converse about the great things you and others have experienced over the past 10 years (and over 1,100 events!).
Some questions to share during the event:
- What was the topic or location of your first discussion?
- Talk about a conversation that opened your mind to thinking in a different way on a topic. Who was involved?
- Why do you keep returning? The topics? The people? The venues? Something else?
- How will the next decade be different for us?
For those interested, after our event, there will be live music from 5-7 PM. We are welcome to stay and listen to the tunes.
Note that Panama 66 is a restaurant, so outside food and drinks are prohibited. If you want to spend some time in the sculpture garden with your drink (but no food), you are welcome to bring a blanket or chair to sit on.
Note that the event is free, but parking in Balboa Park is not. Information about parking is available at their website, or you can use public transportation or other methods (bike, ride-share) to get to/from the park.
