- Just show up and we will have people who have done the homework above will summarize the concept of Language as Interpretation for you, before we discuss how to apply it as a tool for Comprehensivism.
Walter Ong is a pioneer in understanding the transition from oral language to written language, and masterfully traces how language and our thinking transforms as we go from purely oral to written to secondary orality (of television) to secondary literacy (of digital).
Sara Van Den Berg is the founder of Walter J. Ong, S.J., Center for Language and Media at St Louis University and the co-editor of Walter Ong’s posthumously published “Language as Hermeneutics: A Primer on the Word and Digitization” which is a brilliant integration of Ong’s core ideas on the nature of language.

Welcome to the series "Comprehensivist Wednesdays". Transdisciplinarity, Renaissance humanism, homo universalis, and Polymathy are some of the ways of describing this approach which Buckminster Fuller called Comprehensivity and described as “macro-comprehensive and micro-incisive”.
"Introduction to Comprehensivism" is a video playlist of selected past events that provide some ways of thinking of comprehensivism
