Saturday, 29th August : arrive in Thessaloniki. Try catch a morning flight and meet-up at the hotel! Explore the city centre, enjoy an iced coffee the greek way by the seafront and dinner in the food haven of Ladadika area, indulging in local specialties and live music, a vibrant experience evolving as the night goes by, blending with the locals.

Sunday, 30th August: An optional full day trip to admire the views from the castle and wander around the old town of Kavala, explore the ancient site of Philipi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, unwind and enjoy your cocktail on the beach! Sunbathe, swim, enjoy the beach bar vibe!

Monday, 31st Aug : A walk around the historical city centre with Eleni 'as a local' to explore its UNESCO world heritage sites and exclusive flavours, sampling sweet and savoury culinary experiences in hidden gems as we go,
admiring the diverse architecture of the city, a fine blend of Ancient, Roman, Byzantine, Ottoman civilisations, catching up with some of their well hidden secrets and legends.

Visit if you like the important Archaeological, Byzantine & Jewish Museums, the upper town walls, see inside the White Tower as well as other UNESCO World Heritage sights.

Saturday, 29th August: Meeting-up at the hotel and ready to discover Sofia! Stroll around Vitosha Boulevard right in the city centre with the lively open air bars and restaurants. Enjoy a delicious dinner with a local flare! Walk through the uncovered remnants of a 2,000-year-old Roman city, located right inside and around the Serdica complex metro station. If you like roses, you may also choose to experience sampling of rose based products ie marmalade, liquor, scents and cosmetics!

Sunday, 30th August : Optional day trip to visit Plovdiv, former cultural capital of Europe, set among picturesque hills. Stroll along one of the longest pedestrian streets, explore the beautifully preserved Revival era Old Town and marvel at the impressive Roman Theatre. Discover everything in a guided tour with a local guide and bring the city’s fascinating past to life as you move through its cobbled stoned streets.Take your time in an authentic local café, or simply wander the charming streets and be immersed in the atmosphere.

Monday, 31st August : Starting with an optional guided walking tour to find out about the beauty and hidden gems of Sofia, with a local guide. Amongst them one of the most imposing and largest Orthodox churches in the world, St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral and St Sofia church, from which the city was named after.

Stay longer you wish (further arrangements can be made for you) and have fun discovering the bohemian cafes, bars and restaurants in Kvartal Art district, the old Jewish quarter of Sofia, the Museum of Socialist Art,

It you would like to have an extra day, an optional day trip to the beautiful and historical town of Rila monastery and Boyana church, a UNESCO World Heritage site is highly recommended.
