Are you relatively new to photography and want to start by learning the basics, or even brush up on what you know and want some experience in shooting portrait and studio based photography?
To introduce ourselves, and to show you what we do, we will be having a FREE session at our studio in Thornbury in the very near future and we will inform you of it. The free session will introduce KommuneArts to you and we will be using a live model to have a bit of a play.
We will be conducting a 7 week workshop in the very near future which will give you the skill and confidence to take portrait and studio based photos, in a friendly and professional studio, using real models. Please note that there will be occasional nudity when using models, in line with the concept of the shoot. The skills that you learn will enable you to take portraits of various subject - children, animals, adults, family groups, etc. At the end of the course, you will be proficient in taking portrait photos of various subject, and you will have a portfolio of photos to enable you to showcase your talents.
We are a group of co-operative individuals who have been shooting together for a long time (we previously shot with Kommune Photography), but now we have our own dedicated studio in Thornbury, known as KommuneArts.
This first session will be a free session to enable members to become familiar with our studio and to assess whether they wish to continue to be part of the workshop.
If you wish to continue, the fee for each subsequent session of the workshop will be $65 (which includes a modelling fee of $25 per person on the day).
