AI Builders & Thought Archive Berlin

Curious what happens to all your ChatGPT and Claude conversations?

This community explores how to turn AI chats into something you can actually use: private knowledge bases, local AI, RAG, AI agents, personal search, and practical workflows that save time.

Whether you're a developer, creator, founder, researcher, or simply AI-curious, you'll find hands-on workshops, live demos, technical deep dives, and discussions on building useful AI tools.

We'll cover topics such as:
• Local AI & privacy
• RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation)
• Personal knowledge management
• AI agents & automations
• ChatGPT, Claude & Gemini workflows
• Open-source AI tools
• Real-world side projects

No coding background is required.

Come learn, build, ask questions, and meet other people exploring the future of personal AI in Berlin. Most events end with drinks and informal networking.

Build Your Private AI Memory

Build Your Private AI Memory

Ojin Aixhaus, Chausseestraße 36, 10115, Berlin, DE

What would it look like to have a searchable archive of every AI conversation you've ever had?

Like many others, I've been using AI regularly for the past couple of years. At some point, I looked back and realized I had thousands of conversations scattered across platforms like ChatGPT and Claude, with no good way to search through them.

So I started building Thought Archive: a local-first project that turns your exported AI conversations into a private, searchable knowledge base that runs on your own machine.

On July 16, I'll be hosting a hands-on workshop at Ojin AixHaus to share what I learned along the way and explore what's possible when you stop treating AI conversations as disposable.

Who is this workshop for?
If you've been using AI regularly over the past couple of years and are curious about how to better own, search, and learn from your AI conversations, this workshop is for you.
Bring your ideas and questions. Everyone is welcome, regardless of technical background.
No laptop or coding experience is required. This first session is focused on brainstorming and designing your own archive, rather than building it from scratch.
If you'd like to build your own version afterwards, I'll share the GitHub repository along with a step-by-step guide to help you get started.

About me
I'm a software engineer with nearly a decade of experience across the US and Germany. When I run into a problem without a good existing solution, my instinct is usually to build one.

Last year, I created BGB Bot, an AI assistant that helps immigrants navigate the German Civil Code (BGB) in plain English. I've presented it at GDG Berlin, GDG Cloud Berlin, and Ojin AixHaus, where the audience's questions and feedback have helped shape the project over time.

Thought Archive is my second project in this space, and a much more personal one. My hope is that it inspires others to rethink what they can do with their own AI history.
