Pass Mountain Saddle Via Meridian Trailhead

Details
Come join us for this SHADED, early evening, 1.5-2 hour round trip trek where we'll venture up to Pass Mountain Saddle. This is a short, steady climb that has lots of bang for the buck with plenty of beautiful views. Go at your own pace, turn around whenever you want (it's an out and back trip), or take it all the way to the saddle with us at a steady pace, and cruise on back to the lot to enjoy a beautiful sunset.
It’s about 3.9 miles (round trip) with 677 feet elevation gain.
There are no restrooms at the trailhead, so plan accordingly. It will be warm so make sure to bring plenty of water, (at least 2 liters), electrolytes, a healthy snack, hat, and hiking pole(s) optional. The trail is a combination of sandy and rocky, so please wear sturdy hiking shoes. We should easily be done before dark, but flashlights are always a good idea for an early evening outing.
As usual you are responsible for your own safety.
This part of the Tonto National Forest, and, as such, has a 15 hikers limit set by the Forest Service.
Come give it a try!
