Slot Rock to Paradox Arch to top of Massacre Falls

This hike will be approximately 7 miles with about 1600 ft aeg. We will go from First Water Rd up to Slot Rock, continue up to Paradox Arch, then we will bushwhack, scramble and route find our way over the top and across to the top of Massacre Falls. We then scramble down the steep boulders and bushwhack to the Massacre Grounds trail. This is a challenging hike, not for your average hiker. Please know your ability level, and do not sign up if there is any question of your ability to handle difficult terrain. Please bring at least 2 liters of fluid, snack and or lunch. Hiking shoes required. The leader is a volunteer and is not responsible for your safety.
Carpool from near the Wendy's in the Apache Junction Fry's shopping center. Meet there at 8:30.
Trailhead will be the first parking lot on the right on First Water (that is the one before you reach the bigger Massacre Grounds lot). We will start the hike about 8:50am.
