NEW HOST! Dreamy Draw BEGINNER/INTERMEDIATE Hike

Please welcome our newest Event Host, John (Johnny), who has stepped up to coordinate this popular Dreamy Draw event. He writes:

"Come join us for a beginner/intermediate hike at the Dreamy Draw Recreation Area! This hike is for beginners and intermediate hikers, so there will be a moderate pace, regular breaks to check out scenery, and a general easygoing vibe! People of all skill levels are welcome! The group will meet at the top of the stairs by the restrooms at 6pm and head out shortly after. Leashed and well-behaved dogs are always welcome. The Weather Channel says it will be much cooler so this is a great opportunity!

Length: 1.5-2.5 miles Elevation: 1,380 to 1,580 ft. (as in apx 200/300 elevation gain/loss)

Trail Composition: Compacted dirt, loose rocks, gravel.

Difficulty: EASY to MODERATE
Bring: WATER (2 liters any time of the year), hats and sunscreen in the summers and long sleeves/jacket during the cooler months.

MEETING LOCATION: The Dreamy Draw Recreation Area is located at the END of Northern, just East of SR-51. The park access gate closes promptly at 7:00 pm but the exit gate is always open.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS: If you are coming either
North or Southbound on SR-51, take exit # 7 (Northern). Head east and Northern will lead you right into the Dreamy Draw Recreation Area. There is but one entry road with no deviation as you drive
toward the parking lot. A large paved parking lot, drinking water and restrooms are available at the trailhead."
