Friday Night Dreamy Draw BEGINNER/INTERMEDIATE Hike
Details
Come join us for a easygoing and chill hike at the Dreamy Draw Recreation Area! This is a moderately paced hike, and people of all skill levels are welcome!
On this hike, we will start at the Dreamy Draw Nature Trail, then take the Christiansen trail over to where it meets up with Perl Charles trail. We’ll stop for sunset at a great spot that overlooks the park and finish our climb at the second bench on Perl Charles trail, with a nice view of the city below, before we head back.
The total hike will take roughly an hour and a half in-and-out, will be around 3 miles, and have some moderate elevation gain at the end (300ft or so). Leashed and well-behaved dogs are welcome! As of now, the weather is expected to be around 82 degrees. We will take breaks a few times on the way up, and the second part of the hike is mostly shaded.
We’ll meet at the area by the water fountains at 6pm, and head out around 6:10pm.
Trail Composition: Compacted dirt, loose rocks, gravel
Difficulty: EASY to MODERATE
Bring: WATER (1-2 liters any time of the year), hats and sunscreen
