Friday Night Dreamy Draw BEGINNER/INTERMEDIATE Hike
Details
Come join us for a relaxed evening hike at Phoenix Mountains Preserve / Dreamy Draw! The hike is beginner/intermediate difficulty and people of all skill levels are welcome! The hike is designed for maximum comfort and is timed to catch both an amazing sunset and to see gorgeous city light views. We hike at a moderate pace where nobody is left behind and encourage you to make friends and meet interesting people from Phoenix and beyond! It's a better way to spend Friday night!
We'll take the outer loop of Dreamy Draw Nature Trail over to Perl Charles trail and head up to see the sunset from a rock vista that overlooks the park. We'll stop at the second bench for rest and some great views. From there, we'll hike the back side of Christiansen trail over to another spot with panoramic city light views. We'll have time to chill, and take some amazing photos before we head back! The route is chosen to be 75% shade on the ascent. Please bring a flashlight for the somewhat easy descent as it will be dark!
Distance: 3.02 miles in and out
Time: approx 2 hours (1.5 actual hiking)

We’ll meet at the area by the water fountains, which are at the largest structure visible from the parking lot at 6pm, and head out promptly at 6:10pm. Sunset is at 6:55ish. Expected temperatures in the low 80s. I'll wear a bright red shirt for easy visibility at the meetup spot and post my phone number on the day of the event! See you there!
