Triple digits are upon us. Road trips for the next 6 months. Will ease into it with a shorter drive. Will get away with it by off roading to higher ground. Featuring a striking area with further beauty around every bend. An outing which is a definite stand out.

This is a remote trek in the Mazatzal Wilderness. When I did this previously, I didn't see a single other person on the trails. Heads up, you will encounter an area with uneven footing and likely a bit of overgrowth as well. Will turn around when we hit the high point of the Sheep Creek Trail.

Stats
12 miles out n back
EG: 700 ft
AEG: 2,250 ft.
Projected forecast: Sunny with a high in the low 80's + a pleasant breeze.

Carpool: Fry's in Fountain Hills 14845 E Shea Blvd 85268 W side of lot. HC vehicle needed to make it to wilderness boundary. I'm fine with driving to this spot which is near the tiny town of Sunflower along the way toward Payson. With these prices, I will need those joining to pitch in.
