UPDATE: Because of the fire warnings & wind, I am not holding this as a Scheduled Event. I will still be doing it. If you want to meet me, please message me.

Date & Time : Saturday, June 6, 2026, ------ am at Trailhead.

Location: Snowbowl Trailhead: https://maps.app.goo.gl/L611No7dkeSTjHar7

Hike Overview: Hiking up to the Saddle. Here is the AllTrails link: https://www.alltrails.com/explore/custom-routes/custom-route-22f013d?u=i&sh=yp9mav.

Logistical Challenges: For Phoenix folk, the trailhead is about 2.25 hours from the Carefree McDonald’s. Trail starts at about 9200’ MSL and then climbs. Steep. I’ll be going slow, trying to build some endurance. Happy to have faster folks, or those who want to summit (maybe I’ll see you going down).

Weather: It is supposed to be breezy (17- 24, with gusts up to 38 mph). Sunny getting into the upper 60s). Need to prepare for wind and cold.

Other Items:

You must have water and nutrition.

This hike may be cancelled or re-scheduled depending on weather.

The gondola is open at Snowbowl if you bring a non-hiker.

I’ll be in Flag the weekend for work. Probably can grab lunch after.
