Revamped Birthday Camping Trip III ft. New Hikes

Hi all, two years ago put together an amazing birthday getaway on here. Last year was great, too. However, literally half the list were no shows. Alienating others who very much wanted to go whom were relegated to the wait list. All are welcome. Although if you have a history of no shows, others may receive first shot.

Expect a fun weekend heat escape into the pines. This is not a backpacking trip. We will not have to haul everything around. Will stay at a campsite bout 30 mins away, Canyon Vista. Picnic tables, fire rings, vault toilets, potable water etc. Plus inexpensive. Splitting up the fees will reduce the cost even further.
Will help each other out along the way through the weekend.

Will start both hikes from small pull outs off of Snowbowl Rd. Day one will be the AZT SF Peaks. This is a chill outing which will allow us to cover lots of ground. Will traverse through some great scenery and enjoy the Aspen Nature one mile loop on the opposite end. Will then head back the way we came.
Distance: 11 miles out n back + 1 mile loop
Start: nearly 7,700 ft.
Opposite side: over 9,100 ft.
EG: 1,450 ft.

Kachina Trail+
This is hands down one of my absolute favs. One of the only trails I look to visit annually. Will begin from the Lamar Haines TH. Will knock out the easy Viet Springs loop to start. Next a 1.25 mile side trail to connect already 1/2 mile into the Kachina Trail. Will happily stroll through the beautiful ferns and Aspens till we hit the burn zone. At this point, we will turn around bout 3/4 of a mile prior to the jct. More uphill on the way back than vice versa.

Distance: 11.5 mile out n back + 1.5 mile loop
AEG: 2,500 ft.
Will be hanging out around 9,000 ft throughout this outing. A bit lower at the beginning. While PHX bakes, we can chill.
First day is just gradual gain so we will be ready to head out again on day two. 2nd outing isn't all that difficult but you can expect to be fatigued from it. A total of 25 miles over the weekend. 💪

Bout half the group stayed up and had a couple drinks two years ago till we were told to shut down by campground hosts. 🍹 Will bring a hiking game along for campsite.
Will want to go out to eat before heading back. Return time should be accurate unless the group gets a late start that AM.
