Inaugural distance challenge in Prescott

I've been leading hikes since 2019. This is the lengthiest outing I have ever posted. This one is for the serious trekkers. Well worth it as we will get to explore many beautiful trails in a single outing.

Along this route, will get to see Lynx Lake, potentially spot wildlife, plus take in some great views of many mountain ranges from Prescott-Flagstaff. The variety in trails we'll see in a day is impressive.

So we will be on Homestead the longest at 7.5 miles. Yeah, that in itself is about the distance many are used to. However, we will be exploring far beyond that. Smith Ravine is bout 1/2 that distance. Part of Watershed Trail and then close out with Ranch Trail.

Numbers that will scare away many yet be inviting to others:
Distance: 19 mile mega loop
EG: 1,400 ft.
AEG: 2,500 ft.
Projected high: 80 degrees

There are no challenging spots along the way. Bout the steepest it gets is an 800 ft gain in under 1.5 miles on Smith Ravine. We will not be hiking the steep section of Watershed. This will allow us to keep a decent pace. Although not overly fast. Will agree upon a place to replenish after this one with some great food. Let's roll!
