Increase Your Confidence When Meeting New People (we have joined forces with...)

Details

Would you like to feel more confident in social situations?

Would you like to walk into a room of people and feel at ease?

Is meeting new people more easily something that could powerfully contribute to your happiness?

If yes, we have designed this event for you :) I'm delighted to be teaming up with the brilliant Social Anxiety coach Carl O'Reilley (from the community https://www.meetup.com/London-Social-Anxiety) in creating this Meetup to help explore this challenge. We're both deeply moved to help others with confidence, and having lived experience of mental illness, this will be our first collaborative Meetup! Although we have the same passion, our approaches are different. Join us at this Meetup to think about confidence in a different way.

During this Meetup, we will take you through a journey:

• Understand how you can set more powerful goals around your confidence development.
• Learn ways to empower your confidence development through self-understanding; identifying your specific obstacles that limit your social confidence.
• Begin to get inspired by how to practically address the blocks stopping your social confidence.
• Have the space to consider a practical plan of action- the magic is what you do next!

Fear coming up?

That’s OK! We know that Meetups can be very fearful experiences at first. So here are a few things to help:
• This Meetup will be friendly and non-intrusive.
• There will be no pressure to engage, and you won’t have to introduce yourself.
• Remember that everyone is going through the same as you.
• You will only be expected to bring a pen and paper and be ready to reflect, and make lots of notes.
• Don’t let fear stop you if it doesn’t have to... Message either me and Carl and I will see what we can do to help.
• Don’t be hard on yourself. Just do whatever you can. :) If you would like to speak to either Kirsty or Carl privately about anything after the session, then we would be more than pleased to do so.:)
