Through The Writing Glass is a secret writing community who meet around the globe for one purpose: to write and make friends accompanied by the clink of drinks!
Enjoy a drink and join us at our free pop-up event series, which will feature 20-minute writing sprints with breaks in between. Instead of BYOB, BYWP! Meaning bring your own writing project! Or alternatively DIOWTTSSNOFTTTHYFS. Delve into our online writing toolkit to start something new or finally tackle that thing that has you feeling stuck!
Whatever stage you’re at and whatever it is you’re writing — whether it's a novel, poem, screenplay, newsletter, podcast, stage play, article, essay or anything in between — to you we say: welcome.

If being part of our community means anything we hope it means that you’ll never feel like you’re in a writing rut. And that’s because at each of our events we want to create the opportunity for you to find your flow, befriend fellow writers, talk about your work with like-minded people and get writing done in a casual and a relaxed environment (with a drink or empty glass in the hand you're not writing with)!
Unlike other writing groups there is no obligation to share or read your work during our events but for those of you who would like to share or want to get a step closer to becoming professional writers… during the pop-up event series there may be the opportunity to attend a ticketed workshop led by a multi-award-winning publishing professional who has worked on multiple New York Times and Sunday Times Bestsellers and for companies ranging from Penguin Random House to the BBC and The Women’s Prize For Fiction. During the workshop you will get to unlock the secrets of successful writing, gain insights into the industry, share and receive valuable feedback on your work. Last but not least, we will also be hosting a free culture club as part of our pop-up event series where we will either read a book, listen to a podcast series, watch a TV show or film in our own time and come together to discuss our thoughts about it.

Through The Writing Glass is run by multi-award winning Oxford University Literature and Language alumni boasting 15 years experience working in the publishing and tech industries at global brands like Penguin Random House, the BBC, The Times and Sunday Times and The Women’s Prize For Fiction. As writers ourselves, we are passionate about helping more tell and amplify their stories using the writing technology of today just as the writers of yesteryear did.
