Auguries: Group Exhibition guest curated by Mia Savage

Details
“I have hand-selected a diverse group of international artists whose unique voices reflect the show’s central theme—omens, portents, and symbols that navigate time, mystery, and revelation. Bo Kim’s paintings are subtle yet highly striking, inviting viewers into a quiet dialogue of discovery. By contrast, Margaret Chiaro’s vibrant, playful works offer a dynamic counterbalance; her figurative and cloud-based paintings skillfully juxtapose contemporary symbols with timeless elements. Nonie Cruzado blurs the line between painting and drawing, using mixed media and expressive mark-making to depict the human form with freshness and sensitivity. His ability to use different textures gives his work an immediacy that feels especially relevant today. Kai Martin, a master of linework, frequently returns to themes of mythology and folklore, making him particularly apt for interpreting auguries through the lens of oral tradition. I, too, am contributing work to the show—realist paintings that speak to the technical and conceptual harmony I seek as both artist and curator. My aim in assembling this group was to highlight artists who combine original outlooks with distinctive technical skill. Each one adds something different and essential to this exhibit.” - Mia Savage (@miasavageart)
