Join us for one, two or three shows at today's Fringe.

Today's lineup features an imaginative new musical inspired by anime and dance, a comedy about friendship and the hidden realities behind the "good old days," and a wildly original musical comedy blending satire, Arabic music and absurdist storytelling.

We'll begin the day at Theatre Passe Muraille and finish with two shows at VideoCabaret.

Musical

• Created by Kevin Wong, whose previous Fringe musicals Polly Peel and Drama 101 earned critical acclaim and a Toronto Fringe Patrons' Pick Award, making him one of the festival's most successful emerging musical theatre creators.
• Features choreography by Alysa Pires, an internationally recognized choreographer whose work has been performed by the National Ballet of Canada and New York City Ballet—an unusually high-calibre credential for a Fringe production.
• Combines original music, dance, anime influences and existential humour into a highly imaginative new musical that promises both artistic ambition and emotional warmth.

Comedy

• Written by Jesse McQueen and Jack Creaghan, whose recent work includes Romeo Pimp, a production that received four Dora Mavor Moore Award nominations, including Outstanding New Play, giving this show one of the strongest writing pedigrees in the festival.
• Inspired by the playwright's grandmother's real-life Ladies' Days, combining sharp comedy with an authentic exploration of friendship, gender roles and the hidden realities behind the nostalgia of the "good old days."
• Created by a team with a proven track record of audience and critical success, including TOSketchfest award winners and creators of acclaimed new Canadian theatre.

Book of Ooka: The Immaculate Conception
Comedy

• Created by Juno-nominated performers Maryem Tollar and Roula Said, whose 2025 Fringe hit Very Shady Arab Ladies was one of the festival's success stories.
• Features acclaimed actor and playwright Anand Rajaram, one of Canada's most respected theatre artists, in a wildly original musical comedy that blends Arabic music, satire and absurdist storytelling.
• Combines strong artistic pedigree with a unique cultural perspective, making it one of the most distinctive and imaginative productions in this year's Fringe.
