What we’re about
Welcome to Canada's largest theatre goers club.
If you like going to plays, musicals, comedy clubs and other arts events, but don't want to go alone ... you will love Thumbs Up!
One of our mandates is affordable theatre. This means we actively seek ticket discounts when possible. We also go to performances where rush and pay-what-you-can tickets are offered.
We also go to non-theatrical events, including concerts, street festivals, walking tours, day trips and many other events.
There are lots of fun get togethers at affordable cafes and restaurants before and after events.
It's FREE to join our group. Check out our schedule of upcoming events: https://www.meetup.com/Thumbs-Up-Theatre-Toronto/events/

See all- 25% off: 1939…Stratford Festival production @ Canadian Stage26 Berkeley St, Toronto, ON
Join us for 1939, a heart-wrenching portrayal of five indigenous students, brought together under unusual circumstances, who experience self-discovery and growing pains.
Plot: Anticipating a visit by King George VI, an English teacher at a fictional Residential School in Northern Ontario enlists her students in a production of All’s Well That Ends Well. But her rigid ideas of how Shakespeare should be performed are challenged as new spreads, audience expectations abound and her Indigenous students start finding parallels between themselves and the characters in the play, setting out to make Shakespeare’s bitter-sweet comedy defiantly their own.

- $27 Tickets !!! Hilarious Broadway Hit: THE THANKSGIVING PLAY @ CAA TheatreCAA Theatre, Toronto, ONCA$38.00
Join us for The Thanksgiving Play, a hilarious Broadway hit that is smart, wildly entertaining and deliciously wicked. This will be the Canadian premier of one of the most produced plays across North America.
Our group has special pricing of $27 + service fee for the best available seating in Orchestra and Balcony. Regular price is $85 and $99.
The Show: Good intentions collide with absurd assumptions in Larissa FastHorse’s hilarious comedy. It’s the story of four white theatre people who are brought together to create a culturally sensitive elementary school show about the origins of Thanksgiving. Their politically correct attempts to update the myth of the first Thanksgiving with today’s social justice issues are served up as a comedic feast. The play asks: How do you do the right thing in an ever-changing world?
