About us

Welcome to the Tiles and Tea Social Mahjong Club. We started this group because we love the strategy and ritual of mahjong but wanted a space where the focus is more on conversation and learning than intense competition. Whether you have never touched a tile before or just want to brush up on your skills, this is a low-pressure environment to pick up the game.

We meet regularly to enjoy a few rounds of play over tea and light snacks. Our sessions are designed to be beginner-friendly, so please do not worry if you are still learning the suits or the scoring. We are happy to walk newcomers through the basics, help with tile recognition, and share the different variations of the game. Come by to meet some neighbors, learn something new, and enjoy a quiet afternoon of playing tiles with us.
