Hi! This is a group organized by Japanese ladies (married with Singaporean 💑) hosting learning & discussion sessions for singles who are interested in unique Japanese speed dating culture🗾 where they find their life partner and settle down within a year💗⏱!
1-Year to Love | Learn the Japanese Culture
This is a learning and discussion session where we explore Japan’s evolving approach to love and marriage, focusing on the concept of:
- Konkatsu（婚活） – active search for a serious partner with commitment
- Speed Kon (スピード婚) – marrying within 1 year or even 6 months
- Omiai (お見合い) – 1 hour traditional meetup with focus and commitment
I’ll share some examples, mindset shifts, and practical tips that Japanese singles use to move from dating to marriage — without wasting time ⏱💬.

### 🌱 The reason why I made this group:
📖 I noticed that dating culture in Singapore is very different from Japan and I wanted to learn about the struggles that people face in current dating and marriage matchmaking cultures in Singapore.
🚀 I'm running my startup and launched this marriage matchmaking app in Singapore but I want to understand the user needs before I launch a new feature.
