Machine Embroidery - Hands-on Basics

Did you know TinkerMill has several sewing machines including one that does computer-driven embroidery? I have figured out how to execute some of the patterns provided with the embroidery machine and would like to share what I've learned with anyone who would like to see how easy it is.

The basics are easy to learn but machine embroidery of custom designs is more challenging. That will be taught in a separate class. Please let me know if you are interested in that.

In this class, I will:

• Describe the parts and functions of the machine

• Review the documentation provided with the machine

• Demonstrate the process

You will:

• Prepare a hoop properly with fabric

• Thread the machine

• Select a design from the machine's patterns

• Execute an embroidered sample using multiple colors
