About us
This group is for anyone looking to make friends and socialize. I decided to create this group as a result of being a loner and being tired of it!
This life is supposed to be about making connections and enjoying the company of others. But, I know there are people out there that don't know where to start and have a difficult time with it.
That is where this group comes in. Let's join together doing a whole range of fun events. You don't have to do this life alone and whether you're regrettably antisocial or the life of the party, this group is for you!

*Paint and Sip* with collaborative music
Location not specified yetPaint night - freestyle. No crazy twist this time. Just good company, snacks, drinks and music.
Let's meet at my house (address provided the night prior but ~> 115th Ave. / Happy Valley Rd. area - think Sun City/Peoria) and we will do a paint and sip night. Art and alcohol (if you choose to partake)? Sign me up!
Bring your creativity and whatever drinks and snacks you prefer, and we'll paint - together. All painting supplies (paint/canvases/brushes etc.) will be provided. If you have your own supplies, you can certainly bring them with you! I have basic acrylics but if you want another medium - watercolors, oil pastels, charcoal / colored pencils etc. feel free. I recommend wearing clothing you don't mind getting a bit of paint on because -stuff- happens.
I can assist with recommendations about how to approach painting a specific subject but overall, we'll all just paint in our own way / style.
It can sometimes be weirdly silent while painting so, I just created a collaborative playlist. Add 5-10 songs you'd love to have playing in the background to fuel your inspiration.
Add music to the collaborative Spotify playlist here: Playlist! Here are a few ideas about what to paint if your feeling creatively stuck. NOTE: I will also have pre-selected photos, so no pressure to think of something on your own:

Album Club!
Location not specified yetALBUM CLUB: One album. Two hours. Strong Opinions.
* Read description in full before adding yourself to attend *
* Event will take place at my home (roughly Happy Valley and 117th Ave) *Like a book club—but with far less reading and a much better soundtrack.
For each Album Club gathering, we will choose one album in advance. Listen to it before the event, then join us for a relaxed two-hour conversation about everything we loved, disliked, misunderstood, replayed, or immediately wanted to skip.
No music-theory knowledge is required. You do not need to know the artist’s biography, identify obscure instruments, or explain the album’s cultural significance. You only need to listen and arrive with an opinion—or several conflicting opinions.During the evening, we will discuss:
• Best song
• Most skippable song
• Biggest surprise
• Favorite lyric or musical moment
• Overall rating
• Would you ever listen to it again and did you discover any songs you would actually add to your regular rotation? We may also tackle important questions such as:
- Which one song deserves to survive if the rest of the album disappears?
- Which song feels like it should have been the single?
- Which song are the rest of us completely wrong about?
- What emotion does the album do best?
- Where should you ideally listen to this album: car, headphones in bed, crowded bar, lonely highway, kitchen at midnight, etc.?
- Which track contains the most interesting sound, instrument, production choice, or tiny musical detail?
- Which track would you absolutely not want playing during turbulence on an airplane?
- If you could ask the artist one question about this album, what would it be?
- What part of the album do you think will generate the biggest disagreement?
We will begin with general reactions, move through the track list, play a few short excerpts, compare favorites and least favorites, and finish by giving the album an official group rating.
THIS MONTH'S ALBUM:
"To Be Everywhere Is to Be Nowhere" (2016) — THRICE
Please listen to the standard edition of the album at least once before attending. Headphones, car speakers, kitchen radio, and suspiciously old stereo systems are all acceptable.

Bring yourself and a few honest reactions. Notes are welcome but absolutely not required.
You are allowed to love the album.
You are allowed to dislike the album.
You are even allowed to believe that everyone else has selected the wrong best song—as long as we can disagree without being jerks about it.At the end of the evening, we will choose the person who gets to select the album for our next gathering. So, be there!
Space is limited so that everyone has a chance to participate. Please RSVP only if you genuinely intend to attend, and update your RSVP if your plans change.
Come discover something new, revisit something familiar, and spend an evening having wonderfully unnecessary arguments about music.
* Bring a snack or a drink of choice, if desired - not required *
