Free practical workshop on Big Data & Hadoop

Chennai and Bangalore has numerous meetups and workshops to discuss about latest tech. Let's join together and start one in our trichy. We will have meetups on topics like Data Science, Big Data, Machine Learning, AI and etc.
The first meetup on Mar 31 we will have a free hands on training on Hadoop.

This meetup is to give a quick introduction to Hadoop and MapReduce followed by the practical session on setting up Hadoop Cluster on everyone's machine and Creating a MapReduce Program from scratch, compile, Run on Hadoop Cluster. MapReduce example is not WordCount.

1. It is a hands on meeting, Please bring your machines with linux installed (Preferably Ubuntu).

2)Try to bring a Pen Drive to copy the installation files rather than downloading.

3)If you have power extensions, Please bring one, the venue doesn't have many power outlets.

4. This place might not offer Free Wifi, so, Please have your phone's hotspot mobile data sharing.

5. If time permits, We will see how to ingest data into HDFS and then analyze twitter hash analysis.

6. Please DO RSVP, as this place has limiting of seating capacity.

7. List of softwares required, JAVA, Eclipse, Hadoop 2.9.2
