Group Hike | Tring & the Chiltern Hills | Sun 16 Aug

Chalk trails, woodland and sweeping Chiltern views ๐ŸŒฟ

A circular hike from Tring up onto the Chiltern hills, taking in Beacon Hill, Aldbury Nowers and Clipper Down. Only 40 minutes from Euston but properly rural from the first step.

About this hike
We start at Tring station and head up onto the chalk hills, following a mix of woodland paths, open fields and farmland. The route takes in Beacon Hill and its wide views, the chalk grassland and beech woods of Aldbury Nowers, and Clipper Down, before looping back to Tring. There's somewhere to grab a coffee roughly halfway round, but do bring a packed lunch โ€” we'll stop to eat on the trail.

The route
A mix of chalk paths, farmland and beech woodland with some climbs and around 1,400 feet of elevation total. Expect big views across the Chilterns and possibly some farm animals along the way.
