Become a better public speaker with Park Toastmasters

Park Toastmasters is a non-profit community service organization with the goal of helping people improve their communication and leadership skills. You will find we are a very friendly, supportive group. We are organized under the umbrella of Toastmasters International.

We meet on the second and fourth Monday of each month and work on public speaking skills like eye contact, body language, use of props and visual aids, vocal variety, audience interaction, speech organization, listening skills, providing/receiving feedback, and speaking off the cuff. Members also take on leadership roles within the meeting and within the club.

The meeting starts with prepared speeches (each ~5 to 7 mins), then moves into Table Topics for attendees to practice speaking off-the-cuff (each ~1 to 2 mins). Guests are welcome to participate in Table Topics where a topic will be given to you on the spot to speak for at least 1 min but 2 mins 30 secs max. Each prepared speech will receive an evaluation (each ~2 to 3 mins). The meetings ends after roles for the next meeting are filled.
You are welcome to come as a guest at no charge. Please plan to arrive before 7:10pm. The meeting typically around 8:45pm but no later than 9pm ET. We look forward to meeting you!
