About us
A community for people interested in djembe, West African drumming, rhythm and dance in the Tokyo–Kanagawa area.
We welcome complete beginners, experienced players, musicians, dancers, and anyone curious about West African music and culture.
Events may include djembe and dunun workshops, ensemble practice, African dance, rhythm sessions, special guest workshops, outdoor gatherings, performances, and our regular Ebisu African sessions.
The aim is to learn, play, move, connect with others, and enjoy West African rhythm together in a friendly and supportive environment.
Events may take place in Tokyo and Kanagawa, including central Tokyo, Machida, Hachioji, Sagamihara and surrounding areas. Japanese and English speakers are both welcome.
