What we’re about
Welcome to the group! The intent for the group is to collaborate to create multiple, great, and entertaining works of cinema per year. Making movies with volunteers to fill cast and crew positions.
At the main events, we will be making the movie! Preliminary events will be to organize cast and crew positions, auditions, etc.
As a base for the group we will be using original scripts written by the organizer. I will provide scripts in multiple genres. We will make sci-fi, rom-coms, dramas, thrillers, documentaries, spy flicks, action, period pieces, and more.
In addition to the acting roles, there may be crew opportunities available such as:
- Producer
- DP
- Assistant Director
- Camera Operator
- 1st AC,
- Sound
- Script Supervisor
- Hair & Make Up
- SFX Make Up
- Set Decorator
- Props Maker
- VFX
- Composer
- PA
The intent is to make several projects a year. Even if you are new at a position, you may become experienced and good at it by joining, meeting up, and applying yourself. So, there should be plenty of opportunities to eventually try various positions!
For those who want to step on set with greater confidence, there will be the option of paid workshops for crew positions. Get hands on experience and training with some of the equipment used on Hollywood and independent movie sets.
For the cast member that wants training, there is a paid workshop option as well. Learn about acting on screen. Get audition experience and tips. Gain experience getting directions and notes from the director.
